Watercolor Painting Care

Watercolor painting are typically done on high gsm paper (GSM = Grams Per Square Meter) typically 300gsm, it is a matte paper which is suitable for painting using watercolor.

All paints on this size are made on 300GSM Watercolor Paper of archival quality

Standard Care Instructions for the Owner of Watercolor Painting:

  1. Avoid direct Sunlight on the painting so that the paint does not fade over time

  2. Keep it away from high moisture area as the moisture can seep into the frame and can damage the painting

  3. Avoid lot of temperature fluctuation

  4. Farm in glass , to avoid dust

  5. Use acid free matting material and backing board

  6. Make sure there is a gap between painting and the glass, use proper spacing using matt

  7. For paintings where there is direct sunlight use UV protective films on the glass

  8. Make sure the frame is sealed
